Seriously, whoever invented this product is BRILLIANT! I love it when Alcohol & Design cross each others paths! I mean I love the Diamond skull of Damien Hirst, minor detail, it has a pricetag with to many zeroes! So look what I found! A crystal skull filled with 100% pure VODKA ! It's great for the eye AND the body.. or well.. maybe not REALLY really great for the body.. uh on certain occasions maybe! ;D haha anyway I want this SO BAD.. even after you finished the vodka it's a beautiful eye catcher to put on your kitchencounter don't you think?!
You can buy this product HERE ( or HERE when you live in Holland ) for just 50,- Euro you got the perfect gift for yourself or your party friend in crime! Dud I mention I REALLY LOVE this product? ;) have a good day ! xoxo The Cookteaser. A girl gotta eat.. well and sure I did! Last Sunday my lovely friend E. and I were going to the concert of Ludovico Einaudi and he decided he'd cook for me before hand! well... NEWS-FLASH.. it's been ages a friend cooks for me... oke maybe not ages..but really, it seems like most of my friends are scared to cook for me..so they rather take me out for dinner..which is absolutely fine too ;) but still, what a nice surprise someone has got the guts for taking over the stove! E. made us steamed asparagus served with a warm balsamic dressing and some parmesan cheese on top. Really..there you have it again.. SO easy and SO delish.. If you use good quality products it doesn't take a big effort to serve something This good in just minutes of time! What a great starter to begin with.. Really the smell was just great... E. was busy working in the kitchen and meanwhile I was being entertained by his two fellas C. and E. discussing what works best to impress a woman.. chocolate or truffle?! haha hmm.. what a interesting topic..Well although we didn't figure out the answer (yet), E. stopped us from debating and served us the most perfect tender steak together with some buttery baked truffle mushrooms..just SO GOOD! oh god.. really when I think back of it.. my mouth just falls open and I spontaneously start to drool ..so uh anyways..the dinner was a perfect way to get my sexy ass back into the freezing cold to 'serve' our ears with some fantastic music! What a great WAY to spend your SunDAY! xoxo The Cookteaser. I think lunch is more important then dinner, why? because lunch is your mid break of the day and you probably still have a lot to do afterwords and you need your energy and focus to get back to work, a workout later or maybe even a hot date ;)! Whenever I have lunch with bread/gluten I usually feel very tired and feel like I have no energy left in my body..that's like the opposite of how you want to feel after a lunch break right!? so I try to avoid them as much as possible and as I'm not a big meat eater I make sure I eat enough spinach so I still get my portion of Iron to keep myself strong and fit! I love the taste of spinach so much that I almost never buy 'normal lettuce' but I use RAW spinach instead! Mmmm.. These days there are so many recipes out there for how to make a nice salad.. but I like to keep things simple, and let the ingredients speak for themselves. This salad on the pictures here is really just a handful of raw spinach, a bit of smoked mackerel (you can use any smoked fish or smoked chicken), half an avocado (I just scoop it out with a spoon so you don't even need a knife) some typical 'amsterdam sweet & sour onions', crushed walnuts, half a lemon juice and some freshly grind black pepper.
SUPER EASY and SUPER DELISH..If you like it more intense you can also mix the lemon juice with half a teaspoon of horseradish paste.. and then pour it over the salad. This salad is always a big hit among my friends! Oh that reminds me.. I really can't wait till it's summer again.. having picknicks at the Vondelpark and drink lot's of good wine with my loved ones! Ooooohh...GO AWAY freezing Cold!! BRRrrr.. xoxo The Cookteaser. Nutritional whatta?!. Yes people. it's time to introduce you guys to this wonderful Power-Powder called nutritional yeast. Nutritional Yeast has a cheesy/nutty flavour and is packed with protein, vitamin B, fiber and probiotics. Therefore I love to use this power-powder! I just sprinkle this on mostly any of my non-asian dishes! This works great to spice up your home-made cabbage or kale chips, or try adding a spoon of nutritional yeast to your scrambled eggs or salads, really, using this instead of salt is just much more healthier and even tastier! I'm not a big pasta eater but my friends even sprinkle nutritional yeast over their pasta instead of using parmasan cheese! It's really 'health-in-a-jar'. you can get a big can of Nutritional Yeast at most organic stores for something like 3,5o euro. I bought mine at EKO-plaza. If I haven't convinced you guys to go out and buy a can of nutritional yeast then maybe your vanity will convince you ;) nutritional yeast provides anti-aging nucleotides, the building blocks of genetic-defining DNA and RNA. According to Dr. Benjamin Frank, author of Nucleic Acid Therapy in Aging and Degenerative Disease and Dr. Frank’s No Aging Diet: Eat and Grow Younger, diets rich in DNA and RNA supporting foods improve skin health and appearance, vision, memory, hair loss, arthritis, and heart disease. Oke enough said now.. you know what to do.. :)
xoxo The Cookteaser. Who doesn't love a big bowl of popcorn? Only thing is that I suck in making it! 9 out of 10 times they get burned, or I'll loose a piece of my tooth while eating it.. not so charming right?! My sporty friend S. and I were looking for a nice healthy snack after our Boot Camp training (uhuh.. shoulder tab please ) to give our body an extra energy boost! We decided to visit our old friend Albert and I stopped when I saw a big bag of pre-chopped Kale, normally when I make kale chips I buy it in 1 whole piece so you have big crispy leaves, but they don't sell these at Albert, so I thought.. why not make a big bowl of mini Kale Crisps! and so I did..scroll down if if you want to make this too! It's really the most easiest and healthiest snack on earth! oke maybe I'm a bit exaggerating but..you know what I mean. ingredients you'll need for a big bowl of Green Popcorn: - a big bag of pre-chopped kale - 7 spoons of nutritional yeast (you can buy this in any organic store, I buy mine at Eko Plaza) - some salt - some garlic powder - 1 spoon of olive oil - baking paper - oven Now what?
Preheat your oven on 220 Celcius. Put all the kale into a BIG bowl, put some olive oil in, and use your hands to get the oil nice evenly on the kale, you'll notice if you use your hands that 1 spoon of oil is really more then enough to get all the kale covered! Next step is to sprinkle some salt, garlic powder and the nutritional yeast over the kale and this time use a big spoon to get every piece of kale covered with the spices! spread the kale evenly over the bakingtray. make sure that there's still some air in between, otherwise the kale won't be crispy! Put it in the oven for something like 15 minutes and your done! (just check it once in a while that it won't turn into 'BlackCorn' ) As it's quite a lot, you probably can't make it all at once in the oven. but you can use the bakingpaper over and over for this! ENJOY! Feel free to leave me a comment if you tried this out! I'm very curious what you think of this 'green popcorn'. It's official..I'm addicted to 'Banana Chips', they are Crispy, Crunchy and just SUPER SUPERRR delish.. also a great substitute for the ones who want to eat chips but can't because of the 'carb thing'..but really.. carb hater or not.. these crispy yellow sticks are just to DIE for anyways! I just buy a big package for just 2,50 Euro and there are also no chemicals added! To bad they don't sell this in every supermarket, they really should! But hey lucky you ;) checkin out my blog eh?! You can find these banana chips in most Surinam take away restaurants or at Asian supermarkets, I get mine at the 'Kinkerstraat 298-302' at this Asian supermarket called 'Hong Kong Superstore' They actually opened up not that long ago. Only thing is that their prices are a bit higher then when you go to the stores at 'Zeedijk' but hey at least I have my banana near by me ;). I'm curious.. have you ever eaten banana chips? I really don't know why they don't sell these in western supermarkets too?! Can you imagine having friends over to watch a movie together and you fill up a nice wooden bowl with these beautiful yellow banana chips, and then another bowl with home-made apple chips next to it.. like WOW! who said that serving chips is boring !? by the way.. don't blame it on me when you're addicted too ;D and besides my love for this product there are some great things you should know about bananas too! Go check out my tab 'Tips' for all the good things the banana can bring into your life!
xoxo The Cookteaser Todays front page says ' Diet replaces Medicine'. I was positively surprised by the headline! I'm a true believer that you are what you eat..for years and years I'm telling this to anyone whose interested but that a big newspaper shared this today on the frontpage is what I think a fantastic new revolution. These days we are actually coping with a luxury problem, there's just to much choice of foods & drinks out there. Therefore we tend to forget why we're eating and drinking, like way WAYYYY back ago.. we ate to stay alive and keep our energy level up to survive an hunt on animals.. now most of us just eat to enjoy a certain taste or craving.. we snack a lot in between meals.. and most of the time your not even aware what you're actually eating. There's just so much more you should know about how you can get the best out of you & your beautiful body by eating the right food! I mean.. it is actually kinda logic..just as unique every person is.. just as unique every body responds to a certain ingredient or product. So one person gets pimples from eating chocolate and another person gets migraine from eating sugars.. If you're smart and think that this is all very logic too. Maybe you'll find it interesting to read the book I read years ago of Deepak Chopra 'Perfect Health', which you can buy HERE. (in Dutch the book it's called 'Balans in je leven', which you can buy HERE) " The first practical guide to harnessing the healing power of the mind, which became a national bestseller. The book described how breakthroughs in physics and medicine were underscoring the validity of a 5,000-year-old medical system from ancient India known as Ayurveda ("the knowledge of life span" in Sanskrit). Perfect Health went on to describe how to apply the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda to everyday life. In celebration of this classic work we have created this new edition, revised and updated to include the latest medical research.
Although we experience our bodies as solid, they are in fact more like fires that are constantly being consumed and renewed. We grow new stomach linings every five days, for instance. Our skin is new every five weeks. Each year, fully 98 percent of the total number of atoms in our bodies is replaced. Ayurveda gives us the tools to intervene at this quantum level, where we are being created anew each day. Ayurveda tells us that freedom from sickness depends on contacting our own awareness, bringing it into balance, and then extending that balance to the body". Interesting right? Oh and by the way.. another VERY VERY important news-flash..FURBY IS MAKING IT'S COMEBACK! ..like wtf |
