My lovely colleague S. gave me her JUICER!! like are you f#cking kidding me... how sweet is THAT?! Something like a week ago I was telling her that I gained a bit of weight and that I wanted to start drinking smoothies and juices to keep my energy level up while eating less.. and then she told me she has like a brand new juicer (she only used it twice) and that it would make her feel happy if I took it as a gift.. Well I'll be damned! A big THANK YOU to S. !! Todays 'breakfast' is cucumber, carrots, lemon, broccoli, a green apple, a chunk of ginger and a tablespoon of Maca powder. And there you have it.. In just minutes of time a super delicious juice.. no added sugars, no added chemicals, no colouring..just plain (super delish) vegetable juice!
I really think that when you put lemon and ginger in just any vegetable juice it will give your juice just that extra hint that makes it super tasty! I really feel good when drinking this.. and really.. I feel stuffed after two glasses of these.

I had a super nice catering gig yesterday.. I took care of the delicious food at an all men's surprise party! yep..that's right.. ALL MEN!! love that! Anyways..What I found more daring is that men eat so differently then women.. or let's just say.. it's like a bottomless pit.. believe me..every time when I was thinking 'oke I think they had enough'.. my lovely friend M. kept on coming back with an empty servingplate.. well good thing is that the reason for it is because they all enjoyed my food so much ;)! I know I know.. you probably can't believe it eh? But here's my confession..I'm cooking healthy stuff and all.. but I secretly have strong feelings for oreo's, chocolate, coconut cookies, m&m and salty chips too (this list of mine is actually endless..why oh why..). So now I thought instead of not talking about my bad habits I thought I speak up, so I have you followers to watch my back now I'm really serious about not eating candy and chips in between my healthy meals any more..cause seriously.. I need to look freakin HOT this summer! How about you guys.. summer bikini stress?! From now on I will try to post everyday so you'll get plenty ideas what to make yourself when you want to look SUPER SEXY this summer ;) Check out my first cooking tutorial! I didn't feel like cooking but I still wanted to make myself something delish & healthy.
This only took me 5 or 6 minutes! ingredients: 1 teaspoon of coconutoil a handful of green beans (get rid of the hard ends) a handful of mushrooms (chopped in pieces) 1 teaspoon of Tom Yum Paste 1 shot of soy sauce a bit of coriander a bit of black sesameseeds No need to explain what to f#cking do.. just watch the clip silly ;) I'm a true Zucchini Addict! Especially RAW zucchini I like best! (I know..old news..) But other then that there are some great things you should know about this Big Long Firm Veggie too (lol) Zucchini is one of the very low calorie vegetables; provide only 17 calories per 100 g. It contains no saturated fats or cholesterol (I like.. I like) Its peel is a good source of dietary fiber that helps reduce constipation and offers some protection against colon cancers. Also zucchini is an outstanding source of manganeseand vitamin C, zucchini is the best dietary fiber that will keep your body in best shape for long run. It also contains vitamin A, magnesium, folate, potassium, copper, and phosphorus . This summer squash also has a high content of omega-3 fatty acids, zinc, niacin, and protein. Moreover, vitamin B1, vitamin B6, vitamin B2, and calcium in zucchini assure optimal health. Furthermore, zucchinis, especially Golden skinned ones, are rich in flavonoid poly-phenolic antioxidants such as carotenes, lutein and zea-xanthin. uh what the F#ck am I talking about ;) !? In other words; This beautiful veggie will help you to look young & hot longer..so what are you waiting for? Go get your portion of Zucchini! Tips for when you buy zucchini:
The zucchini squash having flowers attached are the real fresh and juicy ones. Also check if the one you are buying is sleek, smooth and firm and has a bright colored skin. It is always advisable to store zucchini in perforated plastic bags, inside refrigerator drawer. Try not to keep zucchini fruit stored for more than 3 days, since they can get damaged in the chilling temperature. If damaged, you will notice hollow pits in the surface skin of the fruit after you take it out of the refrigerator. What a beautiful sunny day! I rushed myself home when I finished work and quickly started making this super delicious Spicy Mango Salad to-go! My friends J. and J. loved it..and so did I (duh) ! ingredients for 3:
1 (yellow) raw zucchini (use the Spirooli) 1/2 cucumber (use the Spirooli) 1 mango (cut in pieces) I made the dressing described here below! or click HERE! I got some private emails asking me how I make my raw veggie noodles so damn tasty?! 1 thing I always use when I'm making my dressings is Lemon or Lime. I always have them in my fridge! The dressing I make the most and which is a BIG succes amongst my lovedones is this one! This will give any salad a whole new dimension, scroll down for the recipe! Ingredients you'll need: - juice of 1 lime - a small handful of coriander - a small chunk of ginger - half a red pepper (get rid of the seeds if you don't want it to spicy) - 1 shot of soy sauce (I used the brand Kikkoman) - 1 shot of fish sauce (leave this out if you're a vegan) - 1 spoon of sesame oil Just blend all the above ingredients in a kitchenmachine and TADAAA!! * 1 shot = the size of a Tequila shot OMG I couldn't stop laughing! This is SO FUNNY!! Who ever made this joke is a damn funny person!! LOVE IT! How To Make A Girl Cry...
Oke.. I'm gonna be honest with you guys, as much as I love to cook, there are times when I'm just to tired to make myself a proper meal. but NOOOO problemo!! This is my secret how I still eat something delish without hardly making any effort, yes people; I'm human too ;) Now I hear you thinking..like.. what do you mean?! the food on the pictures looks AMAZING!!??...Don't let your eyes fool you cause you can prepare this exact same dish in really just 15 minutes of your precious time! I always have some frozen Edamame and (Vegetarian) Gyoza's in my freezer! You can buy them in Every Asian Supermarket out there! I bought these at 'Dun Yong' (Stormsteeg 9 in Amsterdam). Boil the Edamame in water and bake the gyoza's in a pan using a bit of coconut oil and some water. Serve it with some sweet chilli sauce and you are DONE!!!
MMMMMmmm.. easy peasy and delicious at the same time! TIP: this is also a great alternative to serve as a starter whenever you have your lovedones over for dinner.. Trust me..Every time I serve this to my guests they're like OH MY GAWWSSHHH this is AMAAAAZING.. This will be our little secret.. You probably know the 'Rollende Keukens' food festival which is huge and unfortunately only held for a couple of days once a year..Unlike THIS little food-truck-market called 'Kanen bij ten Kate' in Amsterdam. Now you can come back here EVERY Thursday from 15:00 till 21:00 to enjoy some healthy good food!! Yeah I know right?! FAN-F#CKING-TAS-TIC news!!! All the foodstalls are actually Food-TRUCKS! And.. I have the feeling they will expand sooner or later, but for now they will stop your cravings with a choice out of 7 different foodtrucks, offering you a diversity of delicious fingerfoods, vegan Gyros from 'Vleesch noch Visch', freshly made pastas by the 'Eatery', grilled meat on skewers, sweets and desserts! For every taste there's a truck waiting for you! I just went there straight from work and there was an actual queue of people at the Vegetarian Gyros stall! I guess I'm not the only one who's hooked on that delish fake-chicken stuff! MMmmm.. so damn goodd!!! Another thing I love about this new food initiative is that the price/quality balance is very reasonable! I mean for 6 - 7 euro's you're done here! It wasn't even warm today but I still enjoyed myself here, I'm really looking forward to summer and have a nice healthy meal here out in the open air straight from work! oh I CAN'T WAIT!! I will come back here next week with some of my lovely friends to taste some more! Trust me..it all really looked & smelled marvellous! So who knows..maybe we'll run in each other here soon ;)
