My friend D. took my out for a super super nice dinner at this place called 'Van Vlaanderen', we arrived at 20:30 and the restaurant was fully packed so good thing D. booked us a table beforehand. They have a simple but classic interior, very Amsterdam-looking, tables with white tablecloths, super cosy, small and with those typical small amsterdam-stairs, that gives the place that extra dimension. If you want to book a table I would recommend to ask for a nice table by the window or the one on 'the balcony'. We really enjoyed everything we ordered. The staff could maybe be a bit more alert, or better informed what they serve you.. but other then that I really have nothing to say other then I would love to come back here.. the food is really good! As you can see on the pictures below you can tell they put a lot of effort to make your plate a teaser for the eye! We continued our fun night out at Butchers, a cocktail bar. I had the cocktail 'Butchers Daughter' again.. I love that cocktail! it's really refreshing and so full of taste using ingredients like vodka, lime, raspberry and almond liquor in a perfect blend..AAh.. really hard to say no to that cocktail :| ! Some alcoholic-hours later D. and I spend the night dancing! I now feel very tired.. but it was all worth it! Hope you had a great weekend too! xoxo The Cookteaser.

Last night I was craving for something to nibble on, but it was passed 22:00, and I didn't find it worthwhile going to a nightshop..So I opened up my kitchen cabinets to see what I could make for myself. I ended up making this lovely polka-dot-cookie! I used Whole-grain instead of white.. (duh) and added some cranberries. SO easy and SO yummie!
I prefer making my own cookies, this way I exactly know what's in it...no butter, no sugar, a hint of love ;) and I was DONE ! Don't you think it looks delish? I suddenly had a very nice idea.. next time when I have my friends over for dinner I'm gonna make this cookie again but then 4 x larger.. so instead of dessert I will make a nice pot of tea.. and serve the big cookie (straight away out of the oven) in the middle of the table so everybody can break a piece of it.. this way I think there's a more relaxed and cosy atmosphere instead of everybody's own plate..
