I absolutely LOVE this shop! This is an absolute hidden gem in the 'Oud West' area of Amsterdam! A super small shop but seriously STACKED with the most beautiful gorgeous kitchen aplliances! From simple measuring cups to the most exclusive kitchen gear, you name it, they have it! This shop wouldn't be complete if they haven't had an Spiral Slicer, in other words.. that thing which turns raw zucchini into super thin spaghetti strings in no time :D

Some girls like to save money to buy themselves a Chanel bag... I on the otherhand LOVE to spoil myself with gorgeous kitchen gear! Seriously.. the knives collection at Meesterslijpers is SICK! I'm saving money so that I eventually have this whole set (picture below). Also, at Meesterslijpers they sharpen your knives professionally. Way back they started out as a professional barber-gear shop, so all barbers went here to sharpen their blades and sciccors.. One thing led to another and with a nice female touch this shop is now Cook Lover Heaven! :D
Last Sunday I was at this lovely shop Van Dijk & Ko, they sell amazing vintage, one of a kind industrial furnitures and unique home decorating stuff. I bought these beautiful heavy metal crates for in my kitchen to stash my fruits and tea in! Nice thing about it is that they only cost me 15,- euro each! The girls who worked there were so helpful, love that! I mean come on..Don't you just love it how this looks?!? Cause I sure do!
I really think this shop is worth while going to and if you're not a Dutchie go check out their webshop as they also ship oversea.

I am SOOO happy with this new kitchen equipment I bought recently! It's called a Spiral-Slicer or Spiralizer from the brand 'Spirooli'! After doing a lot of research on the internet I found that this was the one I should get! I bought mine at 'Unlimited Health', you can also buy them Online. I hear you thinking; What the F#CK is a Spiralizer?!? oke.. as I recently found out I have an allergy for Gluten ( ' who doesn't these days :s ' ) I was looking for something what still gives me the feeling of not only eating just veggies..Although I don't really mind skipping bread out of my diet..but come on leaving noodles or pasta out of your diet is INSANE!! I especially have a big crush for spaghetti or stir fried noodles! But HOLD YOUR TEARS.. cause with my Spirooli machine I now can make my own spaghetti/noodles out of veggies like Carrots, Cucumber or Zuchinni (which I like best). I tested this little fella this morning to bring my own raw vegan spaghetti lunch to work, I finished my plate already when I found out I forgot to make a picture of my dish.. WOOPS ;) but is was SOOOO GOODDD!!
No worries I will make lot's and lot's of new dishes using this fabulous vegan machinery ;) . Sorry I lacked a bit in updating my blog but I was freakin busy with my 'normal' work and then doing all this catering stuff after office hours was kinda hectic. I'm having my friends J. and N. over for dinner tonight.. and YES I WILL use my Spirooli again and I will not forget to make pictures this time, promise!
Have a nice (freezing) day!
