Last week I bought some beautiful squid at the market! I think I paid only something like 2,50 euro for 1 piece, so it's really cheap! I think most of you don't know how to prepare squid or maybe you never eat it the way I'm familiar with, I mean...if you think ordering calamaris at a restaurant is eating squid you're a f#cking retard! After my trip to Singapore I was so inspired of all the beautiful dishes with seafood! One of them was the Kang Kong with Spicy Squid! (kang kong is an Asian vegetable, you can get it in really any Asian supermarket). So I thought why not give it a shot to make it myself..!
- 1 squid
- a bunch of Kang Kong (if you don't have that, spinach or watercress will do)
- some coriander
- a super tiny can of tomato puree
- 1 red pepper
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 small purple onion
- a small shot of soy sauce
- a small shot of fish sauce
drizzle some coconut oil in your pan and add the onion, garlic and pepper, let is simmer for 2 minutes and add the quid, after 1 minute move the squid to the side of the pan and add the vegetables with the tomato puree.. this way we won't overcook the squid. After 2 minutes toss everything together and add the fishsauce and soy sauce.
1 more minute on maximum heat and make sure the tomatopure is mixed well with all the ingedients..and you are done!
I think this is even easier to make then calamaris and ten times healthier!
Mmmmm enjoy!
