I love to snack in between regular meals, but I love it even better when my snack is healthy too! I often buy fresh celery cause I just love these 'crunchy juicy sticks' to dip in hummus or baba ganoush. I always make sure I have fruits, carrots or celery in the house so I always have something to nibble on..it's just in my blood.. can't stop eating!
Celery is perfect to give your salad that extra crunchy bite, great for soup and fabulous in your fruitshake! I will post recipes soon which involves these juicy sticks!
Beside the fact that celery contains vitamins like vitamin A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, C, E, and K, It also contains a chemical that can lower levels of stress hormones in your blood! Celery calms the nerves cause it helps blood vessels to expand, giving your blood more space, thereby reducing pressure. So whenever you have a hot date and you feel like sh#tting your pants.. just eat a portion of good old celery and you'll be super relaxed and good to go ;)
Celery acts as an antioxidant too. All parts of celery including seed, root and leaves, can be used. They even say drinking celery juice before a meal will help you to reduce your weight! Eating celery regularly helps to avoid diseases of kidney, pancreas, liver and gallbladder; neuritis, constipation, asthma, high blood pressure, catarrh, pyorrhoea and dropsy, brain over work, acidosis, anaemia, obesity and tuberculosis. It also helps to keep your teeth healthy and strong.
Really guys. If you're still not convinced to add celery to your diet.. like..wtf ?!
