You must have seen them in the shelves of your local supermarket.. yes people.. It's Cranberry Season! I love the sweet 'n sour taste they have.. and they are really easy to prepare in just about anything to give your dish that extra hint of deliciousness ;) For example... grill them in your oven for a couple of minutes and add them to your goat-cheese salad. Or boil them together in a gravy and mash them a bit (using a fork)...finish it off with a shot of red wine and there you go.. a nice cranberry gravy to go with your tender piece of meat! Or do what I did last week (so sorry I totally forgot to make a picture) I had some leftover dough from an apple-pie I made for a client, so I decided to make a nice big cookie out of it..I pushed some of the lovely red cranberries into the dough right before I put it in the oven.. and seriously.. that cookie was so DAMN GOOD! AAH... Besides that cranberries are really tasty.. they are also super super healthy for you! They are loaded with antioxidants and many essential nutrients.
