This, my friends, is really one of my favourite shops in town! It's called 'De Volkskruidentuin' (in English: The Herb Garden) another good thing is that they're practically my neighbours! I come here as long as I remember, this is a real hidden gem in Amsterdam of which I thought I really needed to share this with you hotties! YES even if you're not from around. This shop is in the middle of the 'Kinkerstraat' nr 142, and has all the herbs, oils, nuts, tea, rice, couscous, dried fruits.. the list is just endless! One of the things I always specially come back for is the verveine tea they sell here, the leaves aren't processed but dried in one piece, so it really looks fabulous when you serve your verveine tea in a seethrough glass. If you're cooking Asian, Mediterranean, Indian..whatever cuisine.. you'll find all the herbs & spices here for sure! Also a great thing about this shop is that the prices are very 'friendly'. Only thing you should know is you can only pay in cash here! yeah I know quite annoying..But no worries! There's a cash machine just 10 meter away from the store! They're open from monday till saturday from 09:00 to 17:00, yeah I know.. it would be better if they would open till 18:00 right? hint hint .. ;) Maybe we'll run in each other here soon ..Check out the pictures below to get a glimpse of this amazing shop! xoxo The Cookteaser
