I'm crazy about artichokes and I really wonder how come I almost NEVER see artichokes on the menus when I'm out and about. I love the stunning looks, taste AND they're like so easy to prepare! So.. It's time to give this beautiful veggie some attention eh?!
There's actually only one way I prepare mine, and that's by grilling them in the oven. I also served this many times as a starter-side dish whenever I have friends over for dinner, honestly.. it looks SO interesting on the table.. All my friends are always like.. holey #%$(^%$# what is that?!?! and then I'm like.. duhh it's an artichoke you stupid lol
uhm..anyway.. where was I .. oh yeah so how to prepare the artichoke like I do?! Just scroll down so we can turn the tables around and you'll be the one impressing your friends ;)

Ingredients for 3-4 persons as a snack-starter:
- 2 big beautiful artichokes
- 8 garlic cloves (I use the oven grilled garlic later to make the yoghurt dip)
- some salt & pepper
- 1 lemon juice
Delicious side dip:
- 6 mashed grilled garlic cloves
- 4 5 spoons of greek yoghurt
- some salt and pepper
- some cumin powder
- 1 spoon of lemon juice

What to do?
Preheat your oven on 200 Celsius.
Cut of the 1/3 top of the artichoke, now you'll see the beautiful coloured purple leaves (amazing right?!) and cut off the stem too. Put the cloves of garlic in each artichoke in between the leaves, drizzle some olive oil, a pinch of salt and pepper and half the juice of the lemon on each artichoke.
Wrap them in silver foil (make sure it's airtight) and put them in the oven for 90 minutes. (90 f#cking minutes?! ..YES sorry.. 90 minutes..)
Meanwhile you can prepare your main dish or go do something useful like polishing your nails lol, entertain your guests..or pour yourself 1,2 or 3 glasses of wine ;D
When the artichokes are ready get the garlic cloves out of the artichoke (please watch out you don't burn yourself) and mash them using a fork with the yoghurt and the rest of the seasoning.
Now dip every leave in the dip, and you'll eat the fleshy part of the artichoke.. MMMMMMMmmm don't you just love that?!
Enjoy!
